The First Emotion Break
I slumped over my bed and allowed the weakness I was fighting to finally crush me. It was worse than I expected – the force of it took me by real surprise. No one should ever see this, not even my own family or the person responsible for my sudden breakdown.
There was a smaller part of me – smaller, but getting louder and angrier by the minute, screaming at the rest of me. I knew that the new tear in my heart would always ache. That was just going to be a part of me now. Time would make it heal – that’s what everyone keeps saying. But I didn’t care if time healed me or not, as long as everyone around me could be happy and joyful with the decision I had made. They don’t need to suffer with me – along with me.
Sometimes, I wondered... always wondered... if the way I see things, the world, do others see it the same way too? If so, then how come only I feel the pain and not them? Maybe there’s a glitch in my brain.
The waves of pain I had been trying not to get too close to lapped up and pulled me completely under, dragging me deep into the world of Loneliness...
