Once upon a Life...

Once upon a time, there was a little girl
whose birth brought happiness to her family. She was pampered and protected in every aspect of her life. She was really happy, yet something was missing—LOVE. Even though she received love from her family, every human longs for love from that one person who makes them feel complete.

Just when she had given up hope of finding love, she met someone. Someone she had been waiting for... Someone who loved her, took care of her, and treated her like a princess. Someone who protected her and missed her even when she was still with him. He was everything she had ever imagined. She was completely happy with her life and finally felt whole. She had never felt this way before, and she cherished every moment of it. She missed him when he wasn’t around, and her eyes would search for him in a crowd. She was so deeply and madly in love that her family became a second priority. He was all she wanted in her life now. She prayed, cried, and begged God to let her have him forever because she could no longer imagine life without him.

As time passed, her love for him grew stronger and stronger, to the point where he became her weakness. A girl who had never cried before now found herself shedding tears for him. When someone becomes your weakness, never let anyone know—especially not the person who is your weakness—because, at some point, they may take advantage of it.

The poor girl was so blindly in love that when problems arose with him, she ignored them because she didn’t want to lose him at any cost. She couldn’t stand it when he got angry with her. One day, when she couldn’t take his hurtful words anymore, she broke down in tears. The guy was deeply hurt to see her cry and felt awful that he was the reason for her tears. He hugged her, loved her, and apologized for being such a jerk, promising never to hurt her again. The girl, being so gullible and blind, forgave him because she felt guilty, thinking she was the reason he was hurt.

But the problems kept happening again and again. The girl was deeply hurt, but she never showed it because she knew that her tears would hurt him more, and she didn’t want that. The pain kept building up inside her until she couldn’t take it anymore. She thought she could handle all his yelling and anger, but she realized there’s a limit to everything. After all, she had a heart, just like everyone else. Even a mountain can’t bear the heat within it, which is why it erupts in lava. She was human, after all.

Finally, she decided to put a stop to it. Many years of love had to come to an end. Who would have thought that a girl so madly and truly in love, who went against all odds just to be with him, would have such an ending to her love story? No one could believe she left him, just as no one believed she had been in love in the first place. It’s true that he was her weakness, and she couldn’t live without him. But that same guy became her strength and the reason she was able to live without him—and without love.

Now, the girl is strong and brave enough to face any hardship in life. When life gives you so much pain that it becomes unbearable, you become stronger. God is with those who suffer deeply, protecting them and giving them the strength to survive. She is lucky to have survived such a painful experience.

The girl is now happy and smiles often. But deep down, I know she still longs for him and wishes she could have done something to make her life have a happy ending. No matter how brave she appears to others, her eyes tell a different story. I can feel her pain—the fear that she will carry with her for the rest of her life. She will never let anyone get close again, never open the doors of love that have been locked and the key thrown into the ocean. She has locked herself away in her own world, far from the eyes of this selfish world that gave her nothing but tears and pain. No one can reach her now.

And I’m glad that she is never coming out of her world again... :)
